Triumph are perhaps the most iconic of the classic British motorcycle brands, and have - since their revival in the 1990s - certainly become the most successful of the modern era. Originally founded in the late 19th century as a bicycle firm, Triumph produced their first motorcycle - a bicycle fitted with a Belgian Minerva engine - in 1902, and would grow into one of the most popular motorcycle marques in the world - high profile riders like Steve McQueen and Marlon Brando, and numerous land speed records and race track successes gave bikes like the Thunderbird, Bonneville, Tiger and Trident iconic status.

After a tumultuous time in the 1970s and 80s, Triumph ceased trading but was resurrected in the 1990s by  property developer John Bloor, and has grown once again into an incredibly successful modern manufacturer and brand, with an incredibly varied range - models like the Rocket III cruiser and Daytona sportbike, sit alongside heritage models like the Bonneville, and the Tiger adventure range.
