ABS Motorcycle brake lines
ABS braking has been compulsory for all new motorcycles sold in Europe since 2016 and Venhill offer kits to upgrade the hydraulic hoses found on many modern motorcycles fitted with anti-lock braking systems.
Like all hydraulic systems, replacing and upgrading worn brake lines can significantly improve braking performance, increasing the power transmitted to the calipers, and improving feel and feedback too, so you have better control.
Unlike many aftermarket braided brake lines, Venhill Powerhose Plus brake hoses feature a DuPont® Teflon® core, which offers much greater resistance to heat than cheaper Nylon-lined versions. The Teflon® core not only prevents softening, expansion and loss of shape, but also has a consistent internal diameter and a smooth bore, to deliver more efficient fluid flow. A stainless steel braid is wrapped around the core, to prevent further pressure expansion and protect it from road debris and accident damage.
All Venhill braided hoses use a marine grade stainless steel braid, which is more resistant to corrosion than the ‘standard’ grade used on many other brands. The braid is covered with an extruded PVC jacket to help prevent wear and deterioration due to sunlight, chemicals and movement. It is bonded to the braid to prevent the ingress of water, road salt and debris.
Venhill hoses are fitted with threaded swivel fittings, so the hose can be poisitioned with zero twist. Many other lines offer no banjo adjustment at all, or require removal and the use of a special tool to rotate the banjo before re-installation. Venhill machine their own banjo fittings and dome-headed banjo bolts to ensure proper fitment and a consistent, quality finish.
Venhill braided brake hoses are manufactured in the UK to exceed American DOT and German TUV requirements, and every hose that leaves the Venhill factory is pressure tested to 1500psi.
